It is engineered for larger campers who need extra room. It adds 2.5 inches of width and 7.5 inches of length compared to the standard Cot One, utilizing a heavy-duty, 4-leg frame that securely supports up to 320 lbs.
Does the Cot Max fit inside standard backpacking tents?
Rarely. At 82.5 inches long and 29.5 inches wide, it is designed for larger 3-to-4 person camping tents, truck beds, or RVs. Always check your tent’s floor dimensions before pairing it with the Max.
Does the Cot Max use the same leg design as the Cot One?
It uses the same tension-lever technology, but features four leg assemblies instead of three. This extra support structure is necessary to keep the longer, wider frame perfectly taut and stable.
Can you use standard Cot One extension legs on the Cot Max?
No. Because the Cot Max uses a heavy-duty four-leg system to support its wider frame, it requires a specific 16-piece Max Extension Leg set rather than the standard 12-piece set.
