A guy out point just below the secondary opening allows you to lift the bivy up off of your face, increasing space inside and allowing for increased airflow, all to increase comfort.
The Backcountry Bivy features a secondary mesh panel that opens up to increase airflow if the weather is cooperating. Paired with the guy out, this makes the bivy feel larger than it really is.
The Backcountry Bivy is meant to pair with our Backcountry Bed and a 2.5′′ thick sleeping pad, to allow you to sleep comfortably anywhere you go.
Keep the elements out while remaining comfortable with the Backcountry Bivy’s 20D nylon ripstop top, 30D nylon ripstop bottom and fully tapped (PVC Free) seams, so you can sleep as comfortably on a rock ledge as you do at home.
